Aftercare

Make your new asphalt last for years

A little care in the first season goes a long way. Here's how to protect a freshly paved or sealed driveway in the New England climate.

Give it time to cure

Stay off fresh sealcoat for 24 to 72 hours depending on weather. We give you the exact window for your job.

Go easy at first

On new asphalt, avoid sharp turns, parking in one spot and heavy loads for the first few weeks while it hardens.

Keep water and oil off

Wipe up oil and gas drips fast, and don’t let water pool. Both soften and shorten the life of asphalt.

Seal on a cycle

Reseal every two to three years and fill new cracks early. It is the cheapest way to add years to your driveway.
